Install Putty in Xubuntu and other Ubuntu based distributions

This tutorial works in Ubunbu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu, Ubuntu Mate and other Ubuntu based distributions. The tutorial also works in Linux Mint and other Debian based distributions.

Putty is just one of the applications you cannot live without. It allows you to do so much remotely especially if you need to access servers securely.

To install Putty in Xubuntu enter the following command:

sudo apt-get install putty


After this to launch putty, just enter the following command in the terminal
putty
