I have been using Thunderbird as my email client for over three years, but one thing that has bugged me is how to reduce the paragraph spacing, for example when your signing off emails in the screen shots below.
With paragraph spacing
Without paragraph spacing
Open Thunderbird then Edit >> Preferences
Under the general tab, uncheck the box that reads Use Paragraph format instead of Body Text by default
When you compose your next email in Thunderbird, the spacing will be disabled.
